Mediation is a voluntary, but legally recognised process for resolving disputes. It is an alternative to going to Court. It involves an impartial third party - called a mediator - who helps both sides negotiate a settlement, bringing the dispute to an end. The settlement then becomes legally enforceable.
Mediation is really quick, unlike going to court and can be arranged in just a few phone calls. Your dispute could be resolved within days. We can do all the arranging for you. If the other party has not yet agreed to mediation, we can either contact them for you, or you can download our template letter to write to them to seek their agreement to mediation. See our resources page.
